Now i decided to write a research paper about it since this sounds really interesting to me.

Apart from the captain allegedly being drunk, the main problem i think was a poorly designed ship.





Multiple hulls. Kramer's bladder system...where the oil is in a flexible bag inside the hull. Or even seperate compartmentalized tanks, like a tray of ice cubes, would have helped.I really need your help.. please about the Exxon Valdez oil spills?
To prevent repeat occurrences,





1. Mandate double hulls for oil tankers.


2. Do a better job vetting tanker ship captains.


3. Make the offending oil company pay ALL costs for COMPLETE clean-ups PLUS damages to everyone whose livelihood is affected adversely by the spill.
