I would recommend reading ';Profit From The Peak';. Well written and will scare the heck out of you. It addresses this issue. It also discusses ways to invest and make money during these times. Bottom line is, the authors say that the glory days of easy to get sweet crude are gone. Opening up more wells will not work due to smaller harder to get to wells and demand from China and India increasing faster than oil can be produced.What info can you give me about exxon oil reserves?
Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, BP, etc are not in the business of putting oil in reserve. The Federal Government buys oil and puts in into a national strategic oil reserve. These ';reserves'; are stored in case of war or national mobilization.
They made $17000 per second last year. They made much more than that over this years first quarter alone.
